When to use each format
UPPERCASE: emphasis, acronyms (NASA, FAQ). lowercase: emails, URLs, code variables. Title Case: English headlines and document titles — major words capitalized, short articles and prepositions (a, the, of, in) lowercased. Sentence case: normal prose, only the first letter of each sentence capitalized. The tool follows the common Chicago-style rule for Title Case.
A small warning
Sentence case detects sentence boundaries by . ! ? — abbreviations like "U.S.A." can confuse it. Brand names with internal capitals (iPhone, eBay, COVID-19) should be fixed by hand after converting.
Frequently asked questions
Does it work on accented characters?
Yes — É, Ñ, Ü and other Latin letters convert correctly. It does not transform non-Latin scripts.
Can I convert a whole document?
Yes, there is no practical length limit. Very long documents may take a moment to process.
Why did Title Case lowercase my brand name?
The rule-based converter cannot know what is a brand. Convert first, then restore names like iPhone manually.
